What do Tom Daley, The Duchess of Cambridge and Ruby Wax have in common?

Discover the transformative effects of practicing Mindfulness in just 8 weeks.

I want to take a minute to tell you about a client of mine.
This client was seriously struggling to deal with anxiety at the beginning of lockdown. She’d tried every self-help technique:
- Improving her nutrition
- Gentle exercise
- Getting more consistent sleep
- Reducing alcohol and caffeine
- Slow breathing
- Distraction
- Talking to friends and family
And despite all her hard work, her efforts, and the amount of reading she’d done on the subject, she felt it was spiraling out of control.
She was at her wits end.
Tired, stressed, angry and feeling anxious all the time was taking its toll on her relationships.
Perhaps you know the feeling.
Trying one thing after another and getting nowhere.
Zip.
Nada.
Zilch.
You wonder how others seem to make life look so effortless?
You’re desperate for a sense of control and a feeling of calm yet whatever you try just doesn’t work....
But don’t despair because I’m here to tell you something very important:
It’s not your fault. We are human beings. And evolution hasn't quite caught up to navigate the fast-paced world we now live in...

You might be wondering what makes me qualified to talk about Mindfulness.
I am a qualified Mindfulness teacher with a Masters in Teaching Mindfulness (Distinction) from Bangor University's Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice.
I am also passionate convert to the life-changing practice of Mindfulness, which not only saved my sanity, but also my relationships.
As a single mum, I was living life on the edge of a breakdown, and frazzled.
Something had to change.
A chance recommendation of Ruby Wax’s audiobooks alerted me to the benefits of mindfulness and after taking the 8-week course, I was hooked.
I was calmer.
I was happier.
I was more confident.
Life was so much better.
And I never stopped practicing.
I wanted a deeper connection to the practice that had turned my life around and I wanted that same transformation for others. So, after redundancy, I trained to teach Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and set about telling my little corner of the world all about the amazing benefits that Mindfulness can bring.

THERE ARE SO MANY MEDITATION/MINDFULNESS PRODUCTS OUT THERE IT CAN BE A MINEFIELD TO FIND ONE THAT'S RIGHT.
THE MSBR COURSE IS RECOGNISED AS THE GOLD STANDARD TRAINING IN MINDFULNESS, BACKED BY RESEARCH.
Here’s why –
- You’ll explore the science of how the brain works which enables you understand what’s happening when you have unhelpful thoughts.
- You’ll learn alongside other people also new to mindfulness so you can ask all the questions you want without judgement.
- Mindfulness is accessible to all – there’s no requirement to adopt any spiritual/religious path, no physically demanding body poses, in fact no particular space or equipment needed at all.
- The 8-week course has been used to study the effects of mindfulness and there are now more that 6,000 peer reviewed research papers on how mindfulness can help with attention, concentration, pain management, depression, anxiety, and burnout to name a few.
- An instructor-led course enables you to fully engage with mindfulness concepts, to ask questions and to explore your experiences with others which leads to a deeper understanding of the practice and its benefits.
- Clients come back over and over again to subsequent weekly practices as they notice the benefits they have experienced from practicing during and beyond the 8 -week course.
I know what you’re thinking -
This is just another technique that promises so much and may not deliver.
I completely understand. It’s only natural to be skeptical when there are so many shady health claims from companies that are out to make a quick sale. And this is NOT a quick fix. It will take commitment on your part.
And I know you’ve probably tried so many things before. But to ease your mind, here’s how people just like you have benefited from the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course....

AMY, MBSR PARTICIPANT
‘Lucy is clearly an expert in the field of mindfulness. I have tried classes with other practitioners, but Lucy’s format really connected with me, with its focus on the science behind the practice and the benefits over time. Lucy’s classes are really well organised and structured, whilst still maintaining an inclusive atmosphere with participants feeling very comfortable to share their experiences. Through Lucy’s class I have realised how much of my life was focused on the future, rather than living in the present and appreciating the small things in life, which ultimately make up the bigger picture. I have recognised my tendency to catastrophise and have developed coping mechanisms to manage this. In addition, the class was good fun – very supportive and full of laughter! I would recommend to anyone.’

SARAH, MBSR PARTICIPANT
‘The course is great both in terms of content, pace and practices. Lucy is very professional and knows her subject/area well. She’s available both before/during/ after the course to guide people and offers regular practice sessions you can dip into and out of for a very reasonable fee. Doing the course hasn’t led to huge changes in my life yet but I think that reflects my own battle with dedicating regular time to practice in the midst of a global pandemic with children, work and lots going on. However, I can say it has made more reflective of how to respond to situations and how much control I have over these, so overall it remains a work in progress, but has given some very good tools to start with on this journey and opportunities to practice them. I hope practicing mindfulness becomes something that features regularly in my life and those close to me, as I can see the benefits of regular practice going forwards. Lucy provides a very good introduction to this along with support to deepen your awareness and own practice should you chose to. Huge thank you to Lucy for helping me get through the past couple of months and retain some semblance of sanity/calmness’

MICHELLE, MBSR PARTICIPANT
‘Lucy is a wonderful, empathetic mindfulness trainer who really cares deeply about her students and how they can maximise the value of the techniques. She is very open and extremely generous with her time, helping all students with any individual issues they are experiencing. I have benefited from practicing mindfulness in many ways - reduced anxiety (particularly helpful during lockdown), better decision making, increased reflection and consideration of my response to situations, increased tolerance of a health condition to name a few. I would highly recommend everyone to take Lucy's mindfulness course, especially if they suffer from anxiety, depression, any other mental wellbeing issues or physical pain conditions as you will find it will help enormously. Overall, this course is worth so so much more than the tiny price tag - the value is priceless. Thank you, Lucy’

ABIGAIL, MBSR PARTICIPANT
‘This course will improve your life forever. I wish I had done it in my 20’s.’
Remember Tom, Ruby and Kate?
All three (and many more well-known personalities besides) are big fans of mindfulness.
Tom: ‘When Lance first suggested mindfulness and meditation back in 2016, I was a bit dismissive but it's completely changed my perspective.’
Kate: ‘Mindfulness and meditation helped me realise the importance of ‘mind over body.’
Ruby: ‘For me mindfulness is like building a house, so the next time the tsunami that is depression comes I'll have a structure in place to resist it. People who say ... they're perfectly fine [are] more insane than the rest of us. Only if you're kind to yourself, can you be kind to others.’
If it works so well for them, then why not for you?

That’s normal. Actually, that’s GREAT - it shows you truly care if this is going to be right for you.
If you’re wondering about anything, I’ve answered a list of the most commonly asked questions below:
How often do I need to practice in the week between sessions?
How long do the weekly sessions last?
What days/times do the sessions run?
What equipment do I need?
Will the weekly sessions be recorded? (online only)
Will this be guaranteed to work?
What happens at the end of the course?
What do I do if I have other questions?
I forgot to say - this offer won’t last long.
There are a limited number of spaces – so don’t delay or you could miss out. This course will fill up quickly.
If you want to take advantage of this offer, you need to register.
One final thing. Let me ask you this:
How would it feel to be managing your emotions more skilfully, noticing the simple pleasures in life and getting more from each day than you ever thought possible?
And how would it feel to learn how begin to do that in just 8 weeks and without any need for other significant life changes including medications.
How does that sound?
Then you know what to do.
